InfactedRecordings extends its contract with the legendary Belgian electroproject by releasing their 5th album! Formed in 1994 by Geert deWilde, and soon discovered by Dirk Ivens (Klinik, Dive, Sonar,Absolute Body Control), IC 434 deals in this album again withsubjects as society criticism, animal abuse, archeological mysteriesand astronomical descriptions, linked with personal experiences Geerthas had with death and mental pain. 'Anhedonia' is defined as theinability to experience pleasure from activities usually foundenjoyable. Although the sound of the album is still based on the80's Korg M1, IC 434 does not create a typical old school feeling,but a kind of timeless dark electronic, atmospherical and 'danceable'music, combining musical elements from today and earlier on.Appreciated also as excellent live act, IC 434 collaborated over theyears with a whole list of people such as Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe(Empusae), Johan Van Roy (Suicide Commando) and Guy Van Mieghem (asGeert joined Vomito Negro in the early 2000's).
