Limited edition of 300 copies, on Transparent BLUE Vinyl For some time now, there has been a whole wave of young German musicians who are using the democratized technical possibilities of music-recording - an expensive studio is no longer necessary to achieve good results - to implement their idea of modern, German-language (Pop)- music. They are also often inspired by the New Wave of earlier times, with personal lyrics and catchy melodies. And this is DRÜCKEBERGER (German for „coward“ or „slacker“) from Saarbrücken with his Debut! The project already released a few individual tracks and an EP digitally since the end of 2022, reviving the good old 2:30-minutes-song. It doesn't take more than this time, a good melody and personal but unembarrassing lyrics to inspire a young audience. "Armselig" („pitiful“) will surely show this quickly, as it features one catchy tune after the other in the classic LP size of 10 songs. Highlights are "Sterne" („Stars“), an almost kitschy - but highly likeable - Pop-song, recorded with the sisters-duo Ostara. Thematically more introverted due to the topic and musically more atmospheric, "Sterben" („Ding“) is a song to listen to, but is still always catchy. DRÜCKEBERGER goes its very own way and will surely quickly establish itself in the new scene of wave-popppy, German-language music.
