Tränenherz entered the German national charts at #12 upon its release in 2011, making it one of Blutengel's most commercially significant moments. The seventh studio album from Chris Pohl's gothpop-darkwave project introduced two new female vocalists and a sweeping, cinematic emotional scale, with singles "Über den Horizont" and "Reich mir die Hand" showcasing the band at their most melodically powerful and melancholic.
