Just as SHE PAST AWAY, this duo comes from a land, that nobody really had on the screen in terms of Post-Punk/Darkwave, until the planetary success of the Turkish act! Ductape is a female/male post-punk/darkwave duo based in Istanbul, Turkey formed in 2019. Furkan Güleray is the guitar player, Çagla Güleray is the vocalist and synthplayer of the band.

After releasing their first EP “Little Monsters” and video clips, shot during lockdown days in June 2020, the duo entered the studio to record this their album with 8 songs. ‘LABIRENT’ went live on all music streaming platforms on January 8.

This time the duo included 2 songs in their native Turkish language (all others are in English). The contradictions, inner chaos and anger faced when confronting oneself, form the general mood of the album. The fluctuating song traffic - sometimes the melodies stuck in the loop - are among the striking elements of the duo’s sound. LABIRENT (labyrinth) is looking for a way out from this world of thoughts and chaos. Mix and mastering of the album was done by the Blue House Studios in New Zealand and the cover art was designed by Çagla Güleray herself.
