DWA starts off 2026 with the first full-length album from HERE X – something for the post-punk/darkwave lovers among you.

With an ever-increasing array of acts - like Twin Tribes, She Past Away or Lebanon Hanover to namecheck but a few - bringing new life to this genre, it is finally time for HERE X to follow up the 2021 mini-album “You’re coming Home”.

“Nekranthema” (an archaic term for “dead flowers” in Greek, if you wondered) comes in both vinyl LP and digipak CD versions, packed with melancholic songs for bass and guitar – while also throwing in the curveballs of an Ozzy cover and prime Italo-disco throwback track “Not Dreams this Time”.
 
The passion-project of Thessaloniki songwriter Stavros Nikolaou, HERE X live features also his partner-in-crime from TECHNOLORGY David Adam – but with their roles reversed to find Nikolaou on vocals.

All recorded tracks of “Nekranthema” however were written, performed and produced by Nikolaou alone – other than the saxophone on “Let’s Die in The Same Town”, which he does not number among his many skills…

Mixed and mastered by that doyen of the Greek underground music scene Dimitris Douvras, artwork for the album incorporates eye-catching hand-crafted collage work from Cutting Loose.
