Music style: EBM ? electro ? synth pop - industrial
Their top-quality debut album sent a shockwave through the Electronic Body Music scene, and got them
the recognition as the "best pure EBM discovery" made by Alfa Matrix.
Today, our favourite Norwegian electroheads return with their new studio album, mixed and mastered by
none other than Claus Larsen of LEAETHER STRIP. Starting with a song entitled "We are still Kant Kino",
all we can say is that the KANT KINO boys' sound has matured a lot revealing impressive song-writing
skills and a top notch recording approach. While gaining in force and power, their straight EBM sound
shines through carrying synthetic melodies and elaborate vocal arrangements. The stomping beats, the
rough edged sound, and the angry vocals are still there. But, the intelligent addition of clear and vocoder
vocals as well as some guest female vocalists, and the injection of wider influences from techno/electro
to even pop/rock in the song structures, all contribute to give a much stronger focus on catchy choruses
and melodies in their characteristic EBM / Dark Electronics musical equation. KANT KINO even dared
writing a seductive industrial waltz with the unique "Ich liebe Katarina Witt" as well as covering Daniel
?The Normal? Miller?s classic "Warm Leaetherette" with Claus Larsen on vocals...
"Father Worked In Industry" is a non-stop hit-machine that will reconcile all true EBM-fans and hardcore
followers of bands like FRONT 242, AND ONE, NITZER EBB, ICON OF COIL, etc. All united marching
behind the Norwegian duo, cos we are now ALL KANT KINO...
