COMPUTER METAL - MASTER BOOT RECORD - CD

“Computer Metal”, the intense and unique new album from Master Boot Record, makes a bold statement across its 10 tracks – beginning with the first single, “DOT MATRIX”, and ending with “CTRL+ALT+DEL”. The follow-up to 2024’s “Hardwarez” was composed via MIDI in Cubase, with the computer serving as the main instrument. “Computer Metal” refines a blend of real guitar and synthesizer sounds while taking the production to a new level.

Multi-instrumentalist mastermind Vittorio D’Amore explains the core of his latest work: “Hardwarez was about the hardware, while Computer Metal is more connected to what computers represented in our lives and the memories we have of them. This album is a kind of codex for the genre,” he says, “as each song expresses a different style of metal while still being created on a computer.”
