With their fifth studio album, “Into the Void”, MENSCHDEFEKT once again build a bridge between Synth Pop, Dark Electro and Future Pop. Clean vocals, trance-inspired synthesizer structures and the band’s distinctive spoken-word samples come together to create an atmospheric and emotional sound that moves between melancholy, longing and hope.

As the band’s first full-length album featuring vocalist Alex Erbacher, “Into the Void” presents MENSCHDEFEKT in a more melodic and accessible form than ever before, while remaining firmly rooted in their musical origins. Catchy melodies meet electronic depth, creating a distinctive atmosphere that has become an essential part of the MENSCHDEFEKT sound.

Two tracks are particularly noteworthy, as they are now available on CD for the first time: “Smalltown Boy”, MENSCHDEFEKT’s interpretation of the legendary Bronski Beat classic, and “Day by Day”, a collaboration with Mark Sousa (Voicecoil; † 2026).

Featuring 14 tracks and approximately 70 minutes of music, “Into the Void” brings together the many facets of MENSCHDEFEKT – from driving electronic beats and melancholic passages to powerful and emotional melodies.

“Into the Void” will be released on CD, as a digital download via Bandcamp, and on all major streaming platforms.
