Dissolve by Social Station is a moody and introspective post-punk record rooted in atmosphere rather than spectacle.

Hailing from Washington, D.C., the band channels a sense of urban tension that subtly shapes the album’s tone. The opening moments, featuring protest field recordings, ground the music in a tangible social reality. Sonically, the album leans on driving basslines, sharp guitar textures, and restrained synth work.

There are clear echoes of Joy Division and Interpol, but the band avoids feeling derivative. Instead, Social Station cultivate a fragile, almost dissolving quality across many tracks.
The title track stands out with its subtle groove and melancholic pull. Emotionally, the record explores themes of memory, identity, and instability. At times, the songs linger too long in their structures without reaching a strong climax. Still, Dissolve succeeds as a cohesive and quietly compelling post-punk statement.

The new album also features a bonus-Remix by DANGING PLAGUE of a song, originally included in the previous album ‘In the Fallout’.
