Australian-bred, LA-based duo VOWWS return with I’ll Fill Your House With an Army, their most ambitious and fully realized album to date.
A culmination of the band’s boldest ideas, I’ll Fill Your House With an Army finds VOWWS, comprised of Rizz and Matt James, deepening their signature ‘Death-Pop’ aesthetic: a genre-bending blend of industrial electronics, alternative rock, cinematic nostalgia, and melancholic pop sensibility. Co-produced by Billy Howerdel (A Perfect Circle) and featuring guest appearances from Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, NIN, Devo) and James “Munky” Shaffer (KORN), the record is a widescreen journey through longing, alienation, and the surreal beauty in chaos.
This record perfectly showcases the duo’s dynamic range: from distorted intimacy to towering sonic assaults, VOWWS continue to reflect a cracked mirror image of the modern condition - romantic but disenchanted, visceral yet strangely uplifting.
Having already built a cult following through tours with Deftones, Twin Temple, and Poppy, and fresh from a breakout live performance at Golden Gate Park alongside System of a Down and The Mars Volta, VOWWS are poised to cement their legacy with this release.
